Managing stress

Stress happens. It's a natural part of life. Positive stress can make life interesting and exciting, but negative stress can have significant medical consequences. Although we can eliminate stress, we can manage it by doing the following:

Relax. Find ways to slow down - it'll prevent your stress level from reaching its max.

Get enough sleep. Toddlers get crancky from a lack of sleep (and think about the relative lack of stress in their lives). You, as an adult can't cope with stress if you are tired.

Change your point of view. And be amazed at the new stress-free you!

Laugh! Humor puts things into perspective and, as a result, can be a great stress reducer. It also helps to have a support system of freinds and family with you whome you can "vent" your frustration.

Sewat it out!. Regular exercise will make you less likely to scream and shout.

Eat properly, too. Well-balanced meals consisting of whole grains, fruits, and vegetables will lead to better mental (and physical) health. Alo, avoid caffeine and reduce the amount of refined sugars and alcohol you consume.

"Stress is when you wake up screaming and you realize you haven't fallen asleep yet"
