GET IN THE HABIT OF...
It's estimated that 250,000 deaths occur annually in the U.S. because of a lack of staying physically fit. Fitness boosts energy, prevent bone loss, helps manage stress, improves sleep, increases muscle and stamina, and counters anxiety and depression. Here's how to make fitness part of your regular routine.
Whether you swim, bike, lift, or run, doing what you like will help get it done.
Ask a friend to work out with you! Having a partner or group to exercise with will make it easier to get motivated. After all, you don't want to let them (or yourself) down!
Increase it to 30 a day for a really healthy heart.
But start each routine slowly. If you get going too fast, you'll likely burn out. For cardio, warm up by walking or slowly operating the machine you're using. For weights, start light with high reps.
Tem minutes here and there is no crime!
Work exercise into your routine. take the stairs instead of the elevator;park farther away from the door at work. Pedal a stationary bike, stretch or do sit-ups while you watch TV. Every little bit counts abd adds up at the end of the day!
